Margery J. Schultz
Founder, Independent Works.
Margery Schultz started Independent Works to give Florida associations something that’s harder to find than it should be: a named professional who looks at the building, stands behind the numbers, and returns the board’s calls. She has been inspecting buildings since 2008 and has completed more than 2,000 reports.
Her foundation is architecture. She earned her degree at Florida International University, where she also played Division I soccer on an athletic scholarship. That training shows in how she reads a building: how the roof, structure, envelope, and systems work together, and what it costs when one of them fails. She formed Independent Works, LLC in 2021 and works from Dunedin, in Pinellas County.
